MAN Rollo has become the official distributor of NANNI gensets for the Benelux. The partnership adds a product category that was previously missing from the company’s marine portfolio. According to General Manager Michel van Gulik, NANNI is a strong fit with current market developments: on-board power requirements are changing, while NANNI and MAN Rollo complement each other both technically and commercially.
“We are seeing a clear shift towards electric propulsion in the marine market,” Van Gulik explains. “Gensets play an important role in that transition, and in some cases vessels require several smaller units on board. Until now, our own marine portfolio did not include a complete genset solution. That was an important consideration for us. By expanding our offering, we can now provide our customers with a more complete solution.”
From 45 to 960 kW
With NANNI, MAN Rollo can now offer gensets ranging from 45 to 960 kW. The Q4500 and Q6800 series cover outputs from 45 to 125 kW. The larger Q12000, Q24000 and Q30000 series are powered by MAN engines and offer outputs ranging from 277 to 960 kW.
This expansion also enables MAN Rollo to offer complete packages combining main engines and gensets. A NANNI genset does not necessarily have to be supplied as part of a package with a MAN main engine; the gensets are also available as stand-alone units.
Installation, parts and service are an integral part of MAN Rollo’s offering. “We service what we sell. We want to know our products inside and out, because that is the only way to provide the highest possible level of service,” Van Gulik explains.
First joint presentation on 1 October
Preparations are already under way. MAN Rollo employees are being trained on the NANNI product range, with the first training sessions already completed. On 1 October, MAN Rollo and NANNI will make their first joint appearance at the Damen Maritime Festival. MAN Rollo will showcase NANNI products on its stand, with NANNI representatives also attending the event.
“It is great to have this first opportunity to present ourselves to the market together,” says Van Gulik. “From now on, MAN Rollo and NANNI are partners in the Benelux. That is something we intend to make very visible over the coming year.”
